The Mount Rushmore of Anime Characters

There are a lot of great characters in anime, but if we had to put four on a Mount Rushmore, these would be my picks.

Son Goku

Even if they aren’t a “Dragon Ball” fan, if a person watches enough anime, they probably know a bit about Son Goku without even realizing it, because he should be on any list of badass male anime characters. That’s for good reason. Silly, simple, pugnacious and hungry, Goku started off as a parody of the Monkey King of “Journey to the West” fame and became an archetype unto himself. Many characters in the genre, from Monkey D Luffy of “One Piece” to Gon of “Hunter X Hunter”, owe their existence to this guy.

Astro Boy

Created by the “father of modern manga,” Osamu Tezuka, anime robot Astro Boy first broke ground in comics and then did so again on the small screen. Essentially a sci-fi Pinocchio, the character is probably most widely known in the West because of his 1963 television series. If you think you were the first person in your family to be exposed to anime, ask anyone who was around back then if they know who Astro Boy is. They may surprise you.

Johan Liebert

The titular character of the series “Monster,” Johan Liebert is a polite and charismatic man who just so happens to be one of the most evil characters in anime history. What makes him so bad–or so good–is despite being a stone cold killer, he much prefers to reduce his victim to a corrupt, imploding mess. To get a grasp of who this man is, just imagine the Joker and then take away all of the convenient warning signs.

Spike Spiegel

Yes, he’s cool. Yes, he has style. Yes, he has green hair. But the reason Spike Spiegel is such a great character is the depth of his story in this futuristic anime. “Cowboy Bebop” is highly episodic, but what grounds this influential series is the emotional arc of its main character.

Crystal Hunt A Lover of All Things

Crystal Hunt was born on February 5, 1985 in Clearwater, Florida, as Crystal Clarese Hunt. She is an actress and a producer. She is best known for many roles like Lauren in Magic Mike XXL. She also was famous for her roles as Lizzie Spaulding on Guiding Light and Stacy Morasco on One Life to Live. She played in a fantastic movie called The Derby Stallion in 2005 with co-star Zac Efron. She is also involved with the POP Network show “Queen of Drama” where she plays herself.

Crystal Hunt is a beautiful long time Pageant girl, as she started at a very young age. Hunt took singing lessons, and her favorite talent at the pageant was acting. She starred in commercials for The Walt Disney Company and an anti-drug ad with the famous boy band NSYNC. She got to work with major celebrities like Tom Hanks.

Her personal interests are really fast cars, shooting clay discs, deep-sea fishing and Country Music. She does like to listen to all types of music like R&B, Hip Hop and Rock, but Country is her favorite. She loves I Love Lucy and she is a big fan of TV-Land. On Instagram she has several pictures of her carved pumpkins, physique 57 instructor Chloe getting her to stay in shape and brunch with her friend Dania J Ramirez. She is also obsessed with Barney’s NYC.

Once again she loves music! Crystal had an awesome moment on stage with Christina Perri and Jason Mraz while he sang “I Won’t Give Up” she stated she was in love.

What a wonderful, young, beautiful, successful women she has become. Hunt is a lover of dogs and all animals, and a really great person inside and out.

Her other ventures include owning a place called My Pets Dream Boutique in her hometown of Clearwater, Florida. It was a lovely high-end pet boutique that served all types of dogs.
